Officials said that two 13 -year -old girls were charged with multiple criminal charges this week after another student was seriously injured with the Stanley Cup during a battle at Dilayer Intermediate School.

Dilayer state police responded to the accident at Calvin R. McCulo Medium in New Castle on February 28. Its investigation revealed that the two students hit another 13 -year -old girl “several times in her head with the Stanley Metal Cup.”

A 12 -year -old boy also participated in the battle and hit the victim with his hands, according to the police. He was charged with a misdemeanor crime.

Students were dismissed by school staff, and the victim was taken to a hospital for the area to treat “serious injuries in the head.”

Both girls were accused of three crimes-second-class assault, second-class conspiracy and a fatal weapon-in addition to an unorganized behavior.

The colonial school area said that students who face criminal charges will also face disciplinary measures, and that the boycott is cooperating with the authorities.

“Violence in the colonial school area has never been overlooked,” the provincial spokesman said in a statement. “Officials are in contact with the families participating in this unfortunate incident.”

Both adolescents turned themselves this week, and they were released to parents on bonds worth $ 7,500 after being summoned by the New Castle County Family Court.
