Huge forest fires spread to Miles via South Long Island Beach

Dozens of firefighting and National Guard departments were working on Saturday to extinguish the multiple forest fires that broke out on the southern beach of Long Island, where they burned Brain Park and spread for miles along the fast sunrise road.

By 4:30 pm, the fire – which was worsened with strong winds – has already destroyed a “house or two houses”. Other multiple structures seem to be in danger as well.

Sunrise Highway in both directions from the 55th exit to Westhampton Beach has been closed, where more than 40 firefighters and Blackkuk helicopters are operating fiercely to fight cracks, according to Sofol County Police.

Smoke clouds seized a lot of the island and can be seen via Long Island Sound as much as Contecticut.

In a follow -up statement, Hochol confirmed that the National Guard “provides air support with a helicopter.” She also published multiple agencies, including the Emergency Management Office, the Fire Protection and Monitoring Office, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Environmental Preservation, State Gardens, and New York State Police.

“Public safety is my maximum priority, and I am committed to doing everything I can stay safe to ride the Long Islanders.”
