Talhassee, Florida – Locke Lux returns to Florida to take over the position of Semitols coach.
Florida announced employment on Sunday. The 34 -year -old Lux replaces Leonard Hamilton, who is stepped down at the end of this season.
Of Clairewar’s citizens, Lux played in Florida from 2008-12. Its average reached 7.1 points and 3.3 rebound balls from senior, and it was part of the Siminols team defeated Miami, Duke and North Carolina in successive days to win the title of the Administrative Coordination Committee in March 2012.

Lux was not a major coach in the college or the American Professional League level. But his experience in working with American professional league coaches such as Steve Care and Mike Brown, along with his knowledge of the challenges of Florida State job, made him an attractive candidate.
“We will have a standard we adhere to and outside from the stadium that will help build a culture at the tournament level,” said Lux. “I am honored to see what it seems to win in Florida, and I am hungry for more.”
After playing basketball for professionals for three seasons in Europe and one in the Development League in the American Professional League, Lux focused on developing players at his three stations in the American Professional League. In Sacramento, he was responsible for the defense of the kings – a region that gave Hamilton priority during his 23th seasons as Florida coach.
“Locke was an exceptional player in Siminol played a major role in leading Florida to the first ACC Championship,” Hamilton, 76, said.
Florida (17-14, 8-12) is the 11th seed of the ACC Championship, which plays on Tuesday in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Sports director Michael Alford said that the research included university coaches and assistant trainers with extensive experience. However, officials chose not to pay a large purchase of the college coach and chose Lux in a research ascending after Hamilton announced his plans on February 3.
“Locke will bring a unique set of qualities for our program, and I am excited to start the next chapter from the history of basketball under his leadership,” Alford said. “In all parts of the basketball on both the professional and group levels, Locke gained a reputation as one of the rising stars in training.”
