In the last week of the date of 2024-25 NHL, the new faces brought to the competing teams throughout the league, where it reached the ultimate on the day of the deadline, where Mikko Rantanen was traded with Dallas stars, and Brad Marchand to Charlie Coyle).
Now, the race for the qualifiers is officially!
In the east, the seeds of the Atlantic Ocean section look very good, and this applies to two of three metro division seeds as well; The New Jersey Devils team deals in third, with major injury problems. They are currently without Jacques Hughes, Waji Hamilton and Jonas Segane.
But in the land cards race where things become really and good. Columbus Blue Jacquit (68 points in 62 games) and Senate members in Ottawa (67 in 61) hold those positions heading to the game list on Saturday. But five teams are in the range of four points from Sens, with about 20 games, each left.
There are six teams in the West that seem to be somewhat safe in their position in the first three qualifiers (alongside Minnesota Wilde at the first land card point), as well as the golden knights of Vigas and Edmonton Oils in the Pacific Ocean. The Los Angeles kings (71 points in 60 games), Vancouver Canox (69 in 62) have some works to do it to avoid fire in Calgary (68 in 62), St. Louis Blues (68 in 64) and Haki Utah Club (66 in 63).

While we cross the final extension, we will provide details about all the qualifying races – along with the teams that move for the center in the NHL 2025 draft.

The race to choose No. 1
NHL uses a lottery draft to determine the arrangement of the first round, so the team that ends in the last position does not guarantee the number 1 selection. As of 2021, the team can raise up to 10 sites as a maximum if it won the lottery, so only 11 teams are qualified to get a selection number 1. Full details can be found about the process here.
