Tens of thousands of Mexicans gather with the president to celebrate our decision to delay the definitions
Mexico City (AP) – Tens of thousands of people mobilized the main square in Mexico on Sunday to celebrate with President Claudia Xinbum Resolution from the United States to postpone the definitions of many of the country’s goods.
The crowd holds large Mexican flags and shouted, “Mexico must be respected!” They chant Shinabum.
“Fortunately, dialogue and respect prevailed,” she told the crowd.
This celebration comes a few days after US President Donald Trump was postponed by many imports from Mexico for a month, saying that Shinbom has made progress in drug smuggling and illegal immigration.

Shinbom had planned to announce any reprisal measures on Sunday, but instead held a collective celebration.
While the threats continue, the president said it was an optimistic tariff that will not be applied to Mexico and that it would continue to act with a “cold head” against Trump.
Among the supporters of Shinbum Roberto Gonzalez, a 68 -year -old computer scientist that caused a sign of “United Mexicans”.
“The country’s unity is very important,” said Gonzalez.
The chanting of President Mariana Rivera, a 40 -year -old social activist who carried the huge Mexican flag as its arms allowed.
Despite the dark clouds hanging on the country, the activist said it was convinced that “the president will overcome everything.”
Analysts say they do not expect to reduce the cheap of uncertainty that threatens new investments and the Mexican economy, but it will help Shinbum to unify internal support against Trump, which puts the pace of bilateral relations with his strong speech.
“This is an event designer more of internal policy,” said politics and academic scientist Javier Rosels Salas.
Roselles Salas told the Associated Press that despite the concerns in Mexico about the economic effects that the tariff war with the United States – its main commercial partner and destination for more than 80 % of Mexican exports – could unleash, the confrontation with Trump was “very profitable for Claudia Shinbum” and allowed her to achieve popular support for more than 60 % in Its term.
Although the 62 -year -old is now strong, it is not clear whether its political support will weaken if the Mexican economy has deteriorated due to tensions with the United States
Currently, the expectations of specialists and classification agencies are not favorable. Most analysts agree that if general definitions are imposed, Mexico may face a shrinkage of more than 1 % of gross domestic product.
A long climate of uncertainty does not prefer Mexico, according to Samuel Ortiz Villaswiz, professor of the Faculty of Economics at the National University of Mexico.
After telephone conversations with his counterparts in Mexico and Canada, Trump decided last Thursday to stop until April 2, the general definitions of products that are subject to a tripartite trade agreement. In early February, Trump suspended the customs tariff after Shinbom promised to send 10,000 national guards to the northern border to contain drug trafficking.
Despite the agreements, Trump’s decision on the 25 % definitions on steel and aluminum from Mexico and Canada, which is scheduled to enter into force on March 12, is still forgetting.
