As a man in the northern state of Kentucky, he was ordered to abuse the displaced children in the Philippines and return to their homes with images of ill -treatment, the judge who heads the case said that he participates in “similarities” with the case against the disgraceful financier and accused the sexual trader Jeffrey Epstein.
Robert Werner, 46, from Walton, was sentenced to Kovington’s Federal Court to 30 years in prison, which is the maximum legal limit.
Court records show that Werner admitted that he was guilty in October on charges of one of the regional production of sexual assault materials.
“This is the worst case of this kind that I think I have ever passed,” said American boycott judge David Boning before handing over the ruling.
Public Prosecutor: The man had access to a “indispensable buffet” apparently from the homeless children
While he was in the Philippines in early 2021, Werner touched with an unveiled person who had the right to “choosing a roundabout” from young children and made them participate in sex work for foreign customers, the prosecutors said in the file of the present court.
Over a period of nearly five months, Werner and the individual, who was identified in the court documents as “the facilitator”, sent nearly 13,000 letters that showed the exchange of abuse.
Prosecutors said that the children were homeless, they lived under a leaked roof and relied on the person who accuses them, adding that the money sent by Werner was used in exchange for the recorded sex or that was demobilized for the basic necessities.
Prosecutors say that Werner also paid the price of sexual assault materials for allocated children and hold multiple meetings in hotels, where he participated in sex work with children.
Werner rented a home for an “illegal sexual party” with at least 11 boys without legal age.
Werner returned to the United States in November 2021 after the end of his visa and brought some images of abuse with him. Prosecutors said that for at least a month after his return, he continued to send money abroad and asked for more pictures of specific children.
According to the prosecutors, the person who evaded the boys in the Philippines was arrested in May 2022 and the forensic review of their phones investigators to Werner. This individual faces lifelong prison sentence.
Prosecutors said that Werner had an interview with law enforcement in April 2024 and admitted that he had participated in sex with children five times, with only 13 years old.
“He had a buffet that does not seem to be inseparable from the children,” said American lawyer Rachel Rothbarg.
The judge “faced a sleep problem” on the facts of the sexual assault case
Werner addressed the court during the Friday session and asked the judge the mercy to have the opportunity to amend.
He said, “I am sorry for the victims, my family, and my friends.” In the courtroom, Werner’s sister, who covered her ears when the prosecutors narrated the abuse.
Werner’s lawyer Brande Lewis said that Werner was in the Philippines to work and his plan was to commit sexual assault. However, the general prosecutors argued that Werner believed that he would be able to stay away from such behavior abroad.
“He easily accepts the responsibility of his actions,” Louis said.
While Werner asked the court to consider a penalty lighter than 250 to 300 months, Boning said that granting such a request would not be appropriate.
“I faced a sleep problem this week … because of what I read in this case,” said Bring, who is not strange to head the issues involved in pictures of sexual assault on children.
“This is the worst of the worst,” he added.
