The city of Monroe, which targets the e -mail messages

Monroe On Thursday, March 6, the residents of Monroe were warned of watching their own inboards carefully, as there were multiple reports on e -mail frauds that are the personality of Monroe employees, and seek to reach people’s homes by saying that they are looking to change the water meters.

Email messages are similar to this fraud that appeared throughout the state. As on the afternoon of March 6, there are less than five reports of the population regarding fraud. According to the city’s communications specialist Amy Muhr, the residents must take the following measures steps if they complain that they have been targeted:

  • Do not respond to the email or correspond to the deception

  • Check its legitimacy by reaching the appropriate section. The water department can be reached on the number 734-384-9150

  • If it is a fraud process, distinguish it in this way and delete it from your inbox

“We hope to obtain a copy of this email so that we can investigate it, but we have no other information because we have not given the source email,” said Monroe County President, Jacob Perry.

If the citizen falls victim to the fraud in the hunting, Muhr said that to reach the Monroe police through their non-emergency line, 734-243-7070, to submit a police report.
