On Friday, officials announced the reasons for the death of actor Jin Hakman and his wife, Pitts Arakawa, more than a week after the bodies of the couple were found in their home in New Mexico.
Dr. Heather Jarrell, chief medical examiner at the Medical Investigator Office in New Mexico, said that the autopsy revealed Arakawa’s died from the Hantafos Pulmonary virus syndrome, a very contracting respiratory virus by exposure to the affected mouse. Officials said they believed that Arakawa had probably died on February 11, the last day when she sent any communication issued.
Hackman’s autopsy revealed that he died due to high heart and blood vessels with Alzheimer’s disease as a large contributing factor. Officials said they believed that he died on February 18.
Hakman, Arakawa and one of their dogs were found dead in their home in New Mexico on February 26. The bodies of the couple were discovered by two maintenance workers who said that the front door was leaving when they arrived, according to an inspection order.
Hackman, 95, was found in the clay room, while Arakawa, 65, was found in the bathroom. The dog, which was reported, was found to be a Kilby Australian mix, in a cabinet in the bathroom. Two other dogs are alive on property.
The research note described their death as “suspicious”. Santa in Sharif said they had not found signs of external shock.
Santa told Sharif Adan Mendoza’s NBC’s “Today” show on February 28 that he was “fully confident”, there was no unpleasant play, but they noticed that the investigators “did not rule out.”
Investigators said last week that the couple had died for several days or even several weeks before they were found, noting that Hakman had probably died on February 17 – on the day when another cardiac system registered “an event.”
In a statement last week, the Hakman family said that “he was loved and admired by millions around the world because of his wonderful acting career, but he was always just my father. We will miss him strongly and destroy the loss.”
