Tosklosa police call for information in 1987 killed Canda Fahler

Tuscunosa police are seeking assistance from the public in the hope of resolving the killing of a graduate student at Alabama University who was found almost 38 years ago.

Despite the bonuses and intense investigation, the 1987 Chanda Fahler’s murder was not resolved.

The last time the 24 -year -old student and teacher was seen on June 10, 1987, on the campus of Alabama University in the swimming pool on the banks of the river, which has been demolished since then. The law immediately started searching for Fahler after her family was informed by her family.

Four days later, the fishermen discovered her body on the banks of the Black Warrior River, near the Peterson community. Investigators say they believe that her death was the result of the wrong play.

The investigation had many expected clients over the years, but no suspects have been identified.

Now the police are asking the public to close this issue and encourage anyone with information to progress.

“If anyone listens to this or reads this via the Internet, which knows anything about this heinous crime, please progress,” Captain Jack Kennedy of the Unit of Violent Crime in Tuscunusa said at a press conference on March 7 at the Tuscalosa County Office in Tusciaosa Province.

Anyone with information about Vohler’s death is urged to contact the Tuscalaosa unit for violent crimes at 205-464-8690.

Kennedy said that modern forensic techniques, which were not available in 1987, are now used to reassess evidence in the case.

“We have many elements that are tested or tested, and we are waiting for the results, and we hope that there will be strands that come from this certificate,” Kennedy said.

In 1987, the ruler’s office issued a $ 10,000 reward for the information contained in the death of Fahler, and Kennedy said that the reward was still valid.

Family Family – Christine Irene O’Connor, Alice Sherrill’s mistake, Ernst, Junior and his wife, Christa, made a mistake – they attended during the press conference on March 7.

The Feeller family strongly talked about the character of Chanda Fahler, “Shambania” and the love of children.

“I loved the children,” said Christine Fahler. “I loved doing anything involved in children.”

Fasler was a kindergarten teacher at Martin Luther King Junior Primary School and was working on a master’s degree at the University of California at the time of her death.

Feeller’s family also described her as a talented writer who enjoyed a cross -sewing.

The family said that it remains optimistic that the case will be resolved one day, especially with the help of the new technology.

“We are very optimistic,” said Christine Fahler.

Alison Fahler said that she and other family members are confident that investigators are close to resolving the case.

“We are closer to what we were in these 38 years,” said Alison Fahler.

Kennedy said that the investigation is continuing and assisting the public is very important in resolving the issue and closing her family.

Kennedy said: “The testimony of eyewitnesses is no less important than criminal evidence. Sometimes it is more valuable,” Kennedy said.
